“When you see people arrive at the office in pain and discouraged and leave with energy, less stress, and more movement, it is an incredible experience and one that I look forward to participating in every day.”

Treatment Philosophy

Your alignment provides the foundation for your health, literally.  Starting at an early age, your alignment is subject to stress.  As it responds to stress, the alignment becomes unbalanced putting your soft tissues and joints under load.  The more load, the greater the nerve output, the greater the inflammation, the greater risk to your health.  It is so simple yet so profound. Chiropractic is a natural, holistic approach to health and deals with all the factors that affect alignment – mental stress, diet, posture, exercise, breathing and ergonomics.  The effects of poor alignment can be profound and painful.  The ability to deal with these consequences takes a professional team that includes chiropractors, physical therapists and pain management specialists.

Special Interests

Multi-discipline approach to spinal health.  Spinal issues are very complex and require a number of special interventions for a truly successful outcome.   No one profession has all the answers.  I feel very privileged to be working on the cutting edge of spinal care where multiple professionals can interact to get the best result for the patient.

Professional Journey

After falling off a 35 ft roof and breaking my back for the 3rd time, I was told by the doctors that I had to wear a full body corset for the rest of my life.  They said that I would not be able to participate in sports and once my pain was bad enough they would see if surgery would help.  I was 23 years old and devastated.  Coming from a very traditional medical background (DHMC’s intensive care unit is named after my uncle), a chiropractor was last on my “go to” list.  However, it was to a chiropractor I went and I threw away my body corset 6 months later!  I knew at that point what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.  I haven’t regretted it for one day!

When I am not in the office I enjoy…

spending time with my wife and four girls and skiing, hiking, mountain biking and reading/studying the Bible
