FAQ’s

Some common FAQ’s we hear:

I have a spine-related pain, who do I go see?

Your choices are many and range from your primary care provider, a chiropractor, a physical therapist, a massage therapist, an accupuncturist or other health care provider. Your best answer is to go to a clinic that provides the greatest range of services. The Mosenthal Spine & Sport is unique in the Upper Valley because we realize that you need a multi-professional approach to treating your spine symptoms because no one profession has all the answers. Combing the best of all the the health fields gives you the best results in the shortest amount of time.

How effective is the Mosenthal approach?

Scientific evidence proving the technology and the comprehensive approach that we use is overwhelming. Over the past 20 years, many controlled and independent research studies have shown again and again that our care is safe and effective for treating low back pain, neck pain, headaches and other conditions relating to the spine. Based on these scientific studies, the consensus is that an integrative, multi-disiplind approach is the treatment of choice for most spinal problems.

Why should I have my spine evaluated?

From professional athletes to homemakers, engineers to electricians, young people to seniors, spine care has been the answer to optimum health, performance, and pain-free living. Many people seek help at our spine center for a specific pain like sciatica, headaches, whiplash injury or other symptoms. Still others find that regular visits to their spine clinic helps them keep them in peak condition, allowing them to enjoy the best that life offers.

On a regular basis, we ask our auto mechanic to check our car, our dentist to check our teeth, the optometrist to check our eyes and our doctor to check our blood pressure and heart. Yet we take the spine – a crucial component of our body – for granted. Regular spinal check-ups at Mosenthal Spine & Sport should be a family priority if your desire is to maximize your and your family’s health.

Chiropractic is based on the idea of removing imbalances both structural and postural in an effort to allow our body to heal itself. For this to happen, the network of nerves and signals from your brain, down your spinal cord, to the network of nerves must be allowed to flow freely without any interruption. Chiropractors have the ability and skill to remove these interruptions, or misalignments, and allow the body to perform as it was meant to.

If you’ve ever been in a car accident, played a sport, fell down or just bumped into something too hard, it’s very possible that you are not functioning at your best due to a misalignment. While there are many potential mechanical or structural causes for misalignment, there are also chemical reasons. For instance, if you smoke or drink excessively or even just have a poor diet, the chemical issues in your body can eventually cause underlying conditions and disease to appear.

Allowing a chiropractor to get you back on track both chemically and structurally will bring your body back to the proper state it should be in to perform at its peak.

The customized care you receive from Mosenthal Spine & Sport can help to improve your posture, muscle balance and mobility. It can also restore the integrity of your nervous system and get rid of pain quickly, so you can quickly get back to feeling your best.
